MenuVista ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how our mobile application handles data.

1. Local Data Storage (Privacy First)

MenuVista is designed with a Privacy-First architecture. All the data you enter, including:

• Restaurant Menus (Items, Prices, Descriptions)
• Restaurant Profile Information (Name, Email)
• App Settings and Onboarding status

is stored locally on your device using a secure SQLite database. We do not have servers that store your menu data, and we cannot access your menus.

2. Image Handling & Permissions

Our app requires specific permissions to function:

• Camera & Photo Library: Used only to let you pick a restaurant logo or take photos of food items. These images stay on your device.
• Storage Access: Used to export and save your beautiful menu designs to your device's gallery.

3. Data Migration

When you update the app, we may perform a local migration of your data (e.g., from AsyncStorage to SQLite) to improve performance. This process happens entirely on your device.

4. Third-Party Services

We use standard Google Play and Expo services to deliver the app and track anonymous crash reports (via our Error Boundary system) to help us fix bugs. These services do not collect your menu content.

5. Your Control

You have full control over your data. If you delete a menu within the app or uninstall the application, all data stored in the local SQLite database will be permanently removed from your device.
